Steve gained his Advanced Diploma in Counselling in 2001 and his Diploma in Casework Supervision in 2004, and runs a private counselling and supervision practice, as well as working as a WorkScales associate.   He has worked with people from many different backgrounds, bringing a variety of issues, including stress, anxiety, lack of confidence, relationship problems, bereavement, etc.  

Steve is a member of BACP and is currently working towards accreditation and expects to achieve this within the next year.  

Steve has worked with various agencies, including several Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) and local Councils (Wigan). Part of his role when working with EAP’s is to assess clients for counselling or to refer them on to other agencies.  

His background as a counsellor was from a person-centred philosophy, but with EAPs and WorkScales he works in a brief, solution-focused way.
