About Us
Our Evolution
WorkScales evolved from LifeScales, which was established in 2002 by Madeleine Moore.
Madeleine set up the company because she believed that, with her combination of corporate management experience and psychological training, she could provide a valuable service to companies who were having to restructure and make redundancies or were experiencing problems in motivating and retaining staff. LifeScales worked with individuals and with organisations such as Watford Borough Council and BP Marine.
With the proliferation of “life” coaches on the market, it was becoming apparent that LifeScales’ name was no longer appropriate for the corporate market, so WorkScales was formed as a limited company in early 2005. The LifeScales name has been kept to cater for individual clients, but WorkScales was set up to meet corporate and organisational needs. We now employ several professional associates around the UK, so that we can cater for national as well as local demand. WorkScales’ clients have included multi-national companies such as GlaxoSmithKline and local companies such as Cache and Draeger Medical UK.
Our Community Action
We are also committed to Corporate Social Responsibility and have recently joined Connect Dacorum, a Community Action project set up by Jeoff Colls at the Civic Centre, Hemel Hempstead, to help support local charities. We urge other local businesses to donate goods, provide volunteers or give them some financial support.
We also support Kevin “Banana Man” Allen, who went out to Zululand, South Africa in 2005 and was shocked by the plight of so many starving children, many of whom were orphaned as a result of their parents dying from AIDS, and living in extreme poverty. He set up a charity to support them and aims to provide ONE MILLION meals of fresh fruit to impoverished and orphaned children in Zululand. You can help from as little as 4p a day, please press the button to support.
Our Team
We only employs professional, qualified and mature people who have many years’ experience within their field and are well-equipped to deal with workplace issues.
