regina_squiccimarolargewebRegina holds Diploma in Counselling and an MA in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.  Specifically, she has trained in PTSD, Stress, Anxiety and Depression, Schema Focus Therapy, ACT and contextual psychology, Post Decisional Interventions in Substance Misuse, NLP, and Bereavement and Loss.

She uses a variety of cognitive behavioural approaches –from standard CBT to the most recent CBT developments such as ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Mindfulness based CBT, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Schema Focus Therapy.  The choice of interventions depends on the clients’ issues and on their suitability.  Each approach is fundamentally based on a collaborative, trusting relationship between herself and the client and requires an active client’s participation.

She has worked as a counsellor /therapist for Women in MIND, Women’s Aid , various substance misuse agencies and Cancercareline.

Currently, as well as working as an associate of Workscales helping company clients, she also has her own private practice and is a supervisor for The Listening Post in Cheltenham and a Lecturer/Tutor/Trainer on the Gloucestershire College Counselling Programme.

She is an accredited member of the BACP and is working towards the BABCP’s (British Association for Behaviour and Cognitive Psychotherapies) accreditation.
